Cranston's Life - Rust and More Rust

A Way to Structure Rust Software!

Structuring one's software is such an IMPORTANT thing.

How I structure my apps (in Rust and other languages) by Dawid Ciężarkiewicz DESCRIBES such a method.

Dawid's approach gives us so much to THINK about and to LEARN about!

It makes use of Clean/Hexagonal Architecture, Data-Oriented Design, Onion Architecture, decomposing into actors and messages, a tree of ownership, mutability, and MORE!

Like a jigsaw puzzle of a beautiful landscape scene or like an elaborate tapestry, Dawid weaves these techniques into a platform for SUCCESS.

I must STUDY these techniques to get more knowledge!

A Contrarian Opinion About Rust!

I have recently read a CONTRARIAN opinion about Rust!

Some commenters are claiming it is just "trolling"m and it may be provocatively written but I still look for the KNOWLEDGE and INSIGHT that it may contain!

I think there are valid points like Rust being a young language that is not as MATURE as others that have been around longer.

The limited number of Rust IMPLEMENTATIONS is also a valid contrarian opinion I think.

We members of the Rust community should not be so fast to label a CONTRARIAN opinon about Rust as "trolling".

We must see and acknowledge the problems of Rust if Rust is to continue to IMPROVE.

The Rust All Hands Retrospective!

I have READ the article All Hands Retrospective by Erin Power.

It describes the STRUGGLES planning and setting up the event, including problems about the venue and finances.

In the end the event most probably would have been canceled anyway because of the COVID-19 outbreak in Europe and the DISRUPTIONS it caused!

The article is also about the LESSONS learned and what may come in the FUTURE!

Event planning can be so hard, and the BEST of luck in the future!

I think there has been gained some KNOWLEDGE for future attempts.
